A Little Bit About Me...

Hi, I'm Shraddha. I’m from the beautiful place called “Dharwad” in South of India. Crocheting and Knitting has always been a great passion for me, a simple hobby that has brought me enormous joy and peace of mind.

My inspiration and role model has been my mother – the crochet queen, as I call her. Her fingers would fly on the crochet needle and I was always mesmerized by the way she would convert a simple thread into beautiful objects. Whenever she had the time we would see her working on different designs for family and friends.

There was no internet, she learnt the skill and is really awesome in her all Sewing, Hand Embroidery, Crochet, Knitting, Patchwork and traditional Indian Kasuti embroidery designs. I don’t exactly remember whether I asked her to teach me, or if she decided I should learn. She handed me a hook for the first time when I was 12 during my summer vacation. She taught me single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, granny squares and few decorative stitches. Finally she taught me to crochet without mistakes.

After school, I got busy with my college and studies and then career. Throughout this phase of my life yarn & thread took a back seat. Fate seems to have been leading me towards crafting again, without me realising and picked up the threads again. I’ve been crafting ever since then, from making simple friendship bands, today I have graduated to knitting and crocheting intricate designs and patterns.

I love to create new design patterns, apart from interacting with fellow bloggers, checking out what’s new and what is in demand, I’m thoroughly enjoying myself, balancing home, work and my hobby. This blog is my inspiration and fellow crochet bloggers my motivation. I can’t imagine myself sitting idle. When time permits I have to pick up my needle& threads to crochet.
